2015-2016 Top Universities Preparatory (TUP) Program

Offered by Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey in partnership with the Top Universities Preparatory (TUP) Academy TEST

 
The TUP Program is a one year bridge program designed to prepare high-achieving international secondary school seniors for admission to and successful study at top U.S. colleges and universities.
 
Eligibility: Candidates must provide their secondary school transcripts; minimum GPA 3.0 on the 4 pt. scale is required. Students must also place at the EAD1 level on the Rutgers English Placement Exam.
 
Placement: To determine the appropriate placement in English and mathematics, students will take English and mathematics placement tests provided by Rutgers University’s Office of Placement Testing and proctored on site at Chinese high schools in Spring, 2015.
 
Rutgers Academic Curriculum: The TUP Program curriculum is tailored to students’ English language and mathematical skills; students will be placed in credit-bearing English courses depending upon their Rutgers placement scores. The remaining courses will include Pre/Calculus, Public Speaking and electives.

TUP Academy Programs and Services: Housing, meals, college counseling, and TOEFL & SAT Test Preparation will be provided by the Top Universities Preparatory (TUP) Academy, just five miles from the Rutgers campus in Somerset, NJ.
 
TUP Program students will commute to the Rutgers campus by bus to attend classes and participate in other university activities.
